Tackling the biggest challenges in Infectious Diseases requires developing exceptional solutions.  We have over 100 years of of combined experience in software for disease surveillance, infection prevention, and antibiotic stewardship, and our team has built and implemented systems that are in more than 1000 hospitals.  


Dr. Dan Peterson received his MD from Mayo Medical School and did his specialty training in Preventive Medicine at Johns Hopkins University. Following four years working in Africa, he joined the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Since CDC, Dr. Peterson founded, led and ultimately sold Cereplex, a software company that helped hospitals track and reduce healthcare-acquired infections and improve antibiotic usage. In 2013, he founded Teqqa to focus entirely on optimizing antibiotic use. Living in Jackson Hole, Dan rides various two-wheeled vehicles by summer, and spends his winters on skis of all sorts.


Joe Ketcherside, MD is an experienced medical informaticist and business leader with a strong clinical and industry background. He was the co-founder of Cognovant, Inc., a consumer health informatics company, and the creator of the PocketHealth mobile PHR platform.After practicing neurosurgery for 11 years in Kansas City, MO he began a career in medical informatics with roles at Cerner Corporation and TheraDoc, Inc., as well as CMIO positions with Methodist Healthcare in Memphis TN and Heartland Health in St. Joseph MO. He enjoys his family, long walks with his dog Buttons, and curling.


Jonathan Olson has spent 20 years of his life recovering from the addiction of developing and implementing clinical informatics solutions. This oft-times quixotic journey to improve the quality of healthcare has taken him from the bowels of a hospital IT department, to multiple start-ups, an acquisition, and on to this latest adventure. Humbly, he has found himself as CTO at TheraDoc, ActiveCare and VisualShare addressing problems in the infectious diseases, diabetes management and imaging informatics spaces. A computer scientist with additional training in bioinformatics, he believes you can play basketball without jumping, loves the outdoors and is often found chauffeuring his busy family to innumerable activities.

Dave Keeler, BS

Dave Keeler brings a broad healthcare perspective from over 25 years of executive sales experience from organizations such as Symphony Performance Health, Press Ganey, Truven Health, Cardinal Health and Baxter Healthcare. His focus has been on business development in the healthcare provider analytic solutions. Dave specializes in bringing precise actionable business insights to large complex health systems. Dave holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Outside work Dave enjoys his time with family, running and being in the outdoors.


Jimish Mehta is a clinical pharmacist and epidemiologist dedicated to improving antimicrobial use. He was a member of the antimicrobial stewardship program at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and has conducted several research studies on stewardship methodologies. Jimish earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, trained in Infectious Diseases Pharmacotherapy at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and holds a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Pennsylvania. Outside of work Jimish is an avid cook and a musician, playing bass and sitar.


Seth Hayes is a natural entrepreneur with experience in business analysis, technology implementation, project management, requirements elicitation, and application development. Seth’s expertise in both management and consulting roles spans multiple industries including healthcare, eCommerce, and higher education. Throughout his career, Seth has served many different roles in the application development lifecycle: as a BA, project manager, technical lead, and application manager. Seth holds a BBA in International Business and Finance from James Madison University. Seth enjoys a good cup of coffee, playing and writing music, skiing, and hiking with his wife and son.


Gail Shenk

Gail Shenk has over 10 years experience in healthcare informatics and safety. She has held strategic leadership positions and built teams to support rapid growth. Gail joined Cereplex, Inc. in 2004. She joined the Premier, Inc team in 2006 when Premier purchased Cereplex and became the Director of Technical Operations. Gail has valuable experience integrating real time HL7 data from a variety of hospital systems and EHR vendors. She earned her bachelors of science in Computer Science from Louisiana State University. Gail enjoys spending her free time with family and friends.


Tom Hathaway

Tom Hathaway brings over 25 years of software development experience to Teqqa. Tom has designed, written, and administered database centric applications in the aerospace industry while working for Lockheed Martin in Valley Forge, PA, and in the healthcare industry for Siemens Health Services, Cereplex, and Premier Inc. While at Cereplex and Premier, he developed applications related to HL7 interfaces, bioinformatics, and antimicrobial usage. Tom has a BS in Computer Science from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Outside of work Tom restores antique outboard motors and uses them while on fishing trips with his family.


Ross Martin is a software developer with diverse skills in various technologies and environments. He has experience developing web and mobile applications for the financial and healthcare industry. Ross joined Cognovant in 2012 and helped bring to life many innovations in the PocketHealth mobile application. He is customer-focused with the ability to think “out of the box” and conscientious about the end result of software that users interact with. When he is not coding and learning new technologies, you may find him taking care of his Jack Russell Terrier, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.


Shannon Overly is a data scientist with background in mechanical engineering. She spent 10 years in medical device product development at Medtronic in roles spanning product design, project management, manufacturing, operations and regulatory submission support. Shannon is an advocate for data driven decisions and uses analytics to add value and bring efficiency to the problem solving environment. She holds a Master of Science in data science from the University of Virginia and a Master of Science in mechanical engineering from Stanford University. Shannon likes to spend her spare time exploring local roads and trails, both by bicycle and on foot.


Jason Lauman is a full-stack software developer with over 20 years of experience with bespoke solutions and commercial platforms. Jason has expertise with K-12 school integration systems and healthcare clinical support systems. He has worked for the University of Utah Department of Radiology, University of Utah Department of Pediatrics, Pearson Education and XIFIN, Inc. While at XIFIN, Jason lead a software team that developed an image-centric, multi-disciplinary team collaboration platform. Jason has a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Utah. Jason is an avid board-gamer, science fiction novel reader and functional language tinkerer. He enjoys a circumspect existence with his family in Salt Lake City.
